I first meet the Poison Kittens Roller Derby Palermo in November 2014, writing news for "Newsicilia.it" and they had set up the team 9 months before.

I soon understood that I had come across something special and after writing some other news for "Newsicilia.it" and making a short reportage for "Move in Sicily" magazine, i decided that it could be the long term photographic project I was looking for.

The project is still in progress.

In these years many things happened and changed as well I and my eye on the team.

​

Many joined, someone left, someone returned, someone can no more...

​

I followed these girls in many occasions: training, games, sport trips as well as friendly moments, pubblic events, hard times and some private joys.

​

My intent was to collect memories with no mannerism or preconceptions.

​

They are strong, they are colorful, they are crazy and they are friends. Maybe even mine.
